My Students
I am a 4th-year kindergarten teacher! Teaching is my passion and working with the littlest learners is what I have always felt called to do. My classroom is always full of energy and innovation. I go to work daily with the hope I can give each and every one of my students a loving, safe environment to learn!
I teach kindergarten at a Title I school in Texas, where we are still recovering for the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.
Most of the students in my district lived through a rough time in their short lives due to the Hurricane in 2017 and are now faced with the uncertainty of the global pandemic, Covid19. However, these students are resilient and eager to learn. Many of these children are unfortunately lacking basic necessities, but they show up every morning trying their best to smile. My students are survivors and they deserve the best!
My Project
I am so excited each morning to welcome my group of Kindergarten babies. Our school provides free breakfast and lunch to ALL of the students every day. But my little people eat lunch very early in the day.
After long days filled with learning, my students are often hungry and it is a long time between lunch and the end of the day.
I would love to be able to provide snacks, such as Nabisco cookies, cheese crackers, Pringles chips, & fruit snacks to my students when they get hungry in the afternoon!
