Help me give my students something to eat while they engage in learning! For many of our students, the breakfast and lunch items will be the only food they eat to start their day.
Our students are primarily from low income areas and have multiple barriers. Some may be the first to graduate from high school in their family and most will be the first to go to college.
Under our program our students achieve academic and professional success.
Our mission is to help students achieve academic goals, to develop appropriate interpersonal skills, to make intelligent independent choices, and to become self-directed and responsible! We offer extensive leadership programs, work experience, on campus dual enrollment college courses and everyday support.
My Project
Our students are primarily from low income areas and are first generation students. For many of them, the food they receive through our program is the only food they will eat to start their day.
We help reengage youth with education in a nontraditional setting and help them to realize their potential for success.
For a number of reasons and barriers, our youth have previously disengaged with comprehensive educational settings. We are able to reengage them on a specialized program to fit each of their specific needs. We not only offer credit recovery classes, but also work essential workshops for youth who need or want to enter the workforce.
The items we are requesting will give the students breakfast items, lunch items for their day and for some, just the pick-me-up they need to stay focused on learning!
