Hungry for History

Help me give my students the opportunity to be a kid. To know someone cares if they ate today, or if they were able to complete assignments without feeling defeated.

My Project

My students thrive when they are in a classroom that supports both their academic growth and their emotional well-being. This project helps meet those needs in a few key ways. The snacks and drinks provide nourishment for students who may come to school hungry or need a little boost to stay focused throughout the day. Having quick access to granola bars, fruit drinks, and snack packs ensures no student has to try to learn on an empty stomach.

The Crayola crayons and magnetic STEM toys help foster creativity and hands-on learning, especially for my visual and kinesthetic learners.

These tools make lessons more engaging and allow students to explore their curiosity while building problem-solving and fine motor skills.

Lastly, the Black History Month posters bring culturally relevant and affirming content into our space. These visuals celebrate the contributions of Black leaders, especially Black women, and help students see themselves reflected in the curriculum. They support a positive classroom culture rooted in inclusion, pride, and respect for diverse histories.

Altogether, these materials help create a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all students can succeed.
