This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a third grade teacher in a high-poverty neighorhood and we are a school with 100% free and reduced lunch. It is amazing that we offer breakfast and lunch daily, but my students often need a little snack for a pick-me-up in the afternoon. Please help me stock our snack closet with a few of their favorites. They are so appreciative of my snack projects and it is amazing what a bag of cheez-its will do to boost morale during a tough math lesson. Full bellies definitely learn better!
