My Project

Children who eat breakfast at school are more likely to be present, participatein class, and learn better. On average, students who eat breakfast at school score 17.5% higher on math tests and attend 1.5 more days of school per year.

Children who are hungry or food insecure are more likely to have lower grades and scores and to be absent or tardy.

They may also have behavioral and attention problems, and be more likely to repeat a grade. Hunger can affect nearly every aspect of a child's physical and mental function. When children know they have food at school they like, they will ensure they are in attendance, which is why I am asking for a variety of snacks. When children come to school they have an opportunity to succeed.
