My Students

My kindergarten students are a diverse group of five and six year old learners with mixed abilities, interests and experiences. They enjoy having opportunities for movement and given choices during the day. In my classroom, the students are learning letter names, sounds, counting skills and how to write. They enjoy getting their bodies moving while learning these new skills.

My class is a mix of students with many levels of abilities.

Some of my students have special needs, and some students are already able to read. I make sure that I work with each group of students so their needs are met. My students are eager, friendly, and love to learn. Because this is their first year of school, I work hard to show them how wonderful learning at school can be.

My Project

What if Humpty Dumpty didn't have to sit on a wall but could have chosen a comfy chair instead? Like Humpty Dumpty, my Kindergarten students don't have many choices for comfy seating, only the hard chairs and the floor rug.

My students would love the opportunity to sit on comfy floor seats, soft seats and a cozy lounger while they work and learn.

Flexible seating gives students empowerment and choice in their own education. I have requested soft seats, a cozy lounger and some comfy floor seats so my students can enjoy learning in different areas of our classroom. My students would love to lay down on a soft seat to read, sit on a comfy floor chair to write or sit on a cozy lounger with teachnology. Kindergartners are social and love being with peers, at a table, on a pillow or in a cozy chair together. Your help donating to this project would mean so much to my kindergartners, this year and in future years too.
