it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Comprehensive Life Skills class benefits from lessons in Life skills (Cooking, Hygiene, Riding a Bus), Employment skills (Job Applications, Interviews), Social Skills, and Functional Academics (Time, Money, Literacy). They enjoy hands on learning and love when we do special activities. Our students are kind, generous, and operate as a family!
My Project
In our Comprehensive Life Skills class, we will use manipulatives to assist each student at their unique, differentiated levels. Being tangible, the clocks and money enhance learning which results in a more meaningful learning experience during our functional academic assignments. The plastic bands help our learners with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder remain focused and in their seats during instruction. The paint, pens, ink pads, journals, glue sticks, crayons, and markers will be used by my students in their social and emotional learning, illustrating journal entries, and an array of art projects. The scanner saves time for us as teachers so that we can focus on instruction.
