Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This Tack Room project aims to create a versatile and inclusive closet for high school students, providing them with a selection of outfits suitable for various school events such as homecoming, prom, graduation, and job interviews. This initiative will not only alleviate the financial burden on students and their families but also promote confidence and self-expression among the student body.
It will ensure all students have access to appropriate attire for significant school events, regardless of their financial situation and help students feel confident and prepared for important occasions, enhancing their overall school experience.
The Tack Room, with a wardrobe, garment rack, coat stand, hangers, storage bins, and more, will foster a supportive and inclusive school environment, where every student has the opportunity to participate fully in school events without the stress of financial constraints. By promoting sustainability and community involvement, this project will also teach valuable lessons in resourcefulness and empathy.
