This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Northridge Academy is a very good school with less than 900 students of diverse backgrounds. The students are the best, but they need to improve their reading levels and appreciation of reading in general.
As the librarian, I make an effort to represent and include all communities in our collection of books.
Romance is one of the most popular genres and it is lacking in books representing and inclusive of the Black community.
The books I have selected would boost our collection in this area. Most of them have some element of romance in them.
