Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These student cadets learn all aspects of respect for the American flag, its history, and what it is to be in an actual Honor and Color Guard team. They are taught how to fold the flag correctly and how to present it in a ceremony (i.e. Memorial Day, Flag Day, Veterans Day, and graduations).
They also learn about the core values of integrity, teamwork, citizenship, and honesty!
These core values are used to perform flag folding ceremonies at a Veterans' home and events when needed. The student cadets have taken pride in their work ethic at school and at home, and the berets will be an addition to their uniforms to perform in outside events.
