I am currently responsible for teaching Physics and Advanced Placement Calculus to young aspiring engineering students, in a high need community in New York.
The amount of paperwork involved in preparing my lessons takes away valuable times that I could spend developing concepts that would make my lessons easier to deliver and more enjoyable to the students. I had an old laptop that had many issues, besides its being heavy to carry across rooms and from floor to floor.
My calculus class requires more plotting and and interpreting graphs. Computer software can make a calculus class more efficient and fun to follow. Combined with the projector, my students will be able to draw charts and graphs more easily with much less time than would required when using paper and pencil. It is my experience that students enjoy learning if the concepts make sense to them; and this can be done through technology
I believe that there are people like you who are as concerned as teachers, like myself, about our children's education. with your help, I can assure you that we can help prepare our scholars for the challenges that they will face in college. Doing so not only save our young scholars, but also it will help prepare responsible citizens that are our future.
