This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school librarian, I love finding fun and creative ways to spark a love for reading in my students—and the How to Catch book series is always a huge hit! My students light up with excitement whenever a new one arrives. With this project, I’m requesting a full collection of How to Catch books, including seasonal favorites like How to Catch the Easter Bunny and How to Catch a Reindeer, as well as fun ones like How to Catch a Monster and How to Catch a Unicorn. I’m also including sturdy magazine holders to organize and display the books so students can easily find their favorites.

These engaging, rhyming books are perfect for encouraging early readers and building comprehension skills.

They spark imagination and laughter—and kids want to read them again and again! My goal is to grow a fun, inviting library space where students fall in love with books and stories. My students are creative, curious, and full of energy. They deserve a library that reflects that! With your help, we can create a book nook full of wonder and smiles, where reading feels more like an adventure than an assignment.
