My Project
I am a speech -language pathologist in Title I school who works with children who have speech and language delays. I plan the majority of my lessons based on themes and literacy.
Teaching language skills through literacy based lessons allows me to work on IEP goals while supporting the students' academic skills.
These books are written around different themes and holidays, which make them fun and engaging for the children. I plan to create language-based, literacy activities for my students to address IEP goals such as answering comprehension questions, retelling stories, and describing pictures.
