My students need arc planks, building boards and a block and tackle to explore the idea of gravity. Through hands-on activities, the students will experience how things move and work.

My Students
I have the pleasure of learning alongside 18 enthusiastic, energetic, caring and curious kindergarten children who care about each other and the world. We connect using Twitter and Kidblog. We engage with these platforms so we can have conversations and learn from others globally.
Our school is a fun and safe place to learn.
Kindergarten is a wonderful place to learn because we ask questions, make friends and explore what we are curious about. Learning is lots of fun in Kindergarten.
My Project
My students will explore how gravity works through using a block and tackle to move things up and down. The arc planks and building boards will support my students when they experiment with building inclined planes and noticing how they work.
In kindergarten, exploring scientific concepts through scientific inquiry is very important.
Through a child's own experiences and through using their hands and cool tools, they begin to understand how things work alone and together to make something move.
Young children use their hands and their oral language to make sense of their world. The materials I have available only help to engage and inspire children to think critically and to collaborate. The tools listed in this project invite participation and collaboration through scientific inquiry.
