My Project

Teens find role models from different parts of society, fictional realms, history, or political life. Reading the biographies and autobiographies of these people allows the students to learn what their heroes had to deal with to gain success and learn from their mistakes. Adding new and updated biographies to the collection in various formats, like graphic novels, allows students to find modern heroes they can connect to or learn about the growth of an area of interest.

Biographies help teens realize that even their heroes aren't perfect, and it takes some hard work to succeed.

These are essential lessons for kids to learn, as when they look at the screen or a particular article, the background on what it took to get to that point is not provided.
