it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our scholars have a wide variety of educational needs. Due to where our school is located, we know that our parents can't afford to buy them school supplies. The reality is they still need basic things to use in school each day.
Help us start the year off strong as we need basic supplies in our classroom.
This year, I want my second graders to be ready without burdening their parents with the thought of purchasing school supplies. Our students have such a love of learning but without basic supplies, it is hard for them to get their work done. The students love to be creative and express themselves.
We really need some dry erase markers, crayons, and markers. These resources are so vital in our classroom each and every day. After the pandemic, it became very important to me that each student have their own set of supplies. Since everyone is getting the same thing, they do not need to share the supplies. Pencils are something we use a lot of but the cheaper ones don't last long. Finally, the Mr. Sketch markers are for charts to make our classroom inviting and colorful. The tabletop chart can be used during small group instruction to support scholars. The most important thing of all is the water bottles. Our scholars are thirsty but they do not have reusable water bottles. The project will help provide the basics and eliminate their need to constantly go to the water fountain.
With the help of your contributions, we will be able to put basic supplies into the hands of kids who need them the most. It will enable them to write, color, and complete their assignments. These supplies are will be really helpful for next school year.
