This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will educate and inspire the children in my classroom. Not only are the characters well developed, the story line takes twists and turns as Deja discovers not only who she is, but the secrets that have shaped her father's life. The students in my classroom are from diverse backgrounds and can benefit from the friendships created in this story amongst children that come from all over the world but have one thing in common. Diving into these characters and their stories will encourage all the children in my classroom to share their story.
