My students need a variety of plants to learn about the life cycles of plants, as well as resources for the computer that will allow them to further their understanding.
Help plant the seed of knowledge in the heart of a child. My students come from a low income district where they lack the supplies that is needed to carry out important scientific learning.
My class consists of 33 three and four year old children with varying abilities.
These children come from families that can not always provide them with learning opportunities at home. They are very enthusiastic children who are motivated by hands-on activities such as planting and tracking how things grow. They also love all things technology based.
My Project
These resources will allow my students to learn about the earth and plants that they don't get to see on a daily basis. The cactus garden, root vue farm set, and carnivorous creations set will allow the students see a variety of plant species that are not common to our area. Using these materials, we will dive into a unit of study that covers plant parts, plant life cycle, as well as the importance and necessity of plants (and trees) in our world.
This project is important because it allows the students to get their hands dirty in a fun and educational way.
By donating to this project you will allow my students the opportunity to explore a whole section of science they don't see on a daily basis.
