Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My Special Needs students are very creative and love to get their hands dirty! We divide out time between our classroom and our Life Skills facility. In the Life Skills house, my students can learn basic functional living skills such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and tolieting and hygiene skills. Our facility has recently undergone outside renovations and it would be great to recieve gardening supplies for landscaping and growing vegtables. Learning how plants grow and react to different environments are lessons that should be hands on projects. I am excited for my students to experience the growing process from planting to harvesting and getting a little dirty along the way!
