This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Nothing is more exciting than walking into your new fourth-grade classroom and seeing shelves of new books to read! When my students arrive this fall, I want them to feel excitement about all the stories they will explore during the year.

Our fourth-grade students love to read (IN TWO LANGUAGES!), but keeping our Spanish-language classroom library stocked with stories worthy of their curiosity and imagination is challenging.

We often hit a lull in reading engagement halfway through the year because students have read most of what we have available in the classroom.

Please help us keep the engagement alive by helping us fill the shelves of our "biblioteca"!
