My students need water testing kits, macro lenses and refill reagents for our Ecology unit to assess our local river's water quality on our field trip this Spring.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Neill's classroom raised $595

My Students
"I think I've got a dragonfly larva, what do you think?" The excitement in my students' voices as they explore our local river tells me I have to keep my classroom stocked with the needed supplies for this annual field trip, and with your help I can keep doing this each year.
I have about 150 students each year and many are from low socio-economic families, as well as learning disabled, English language learners and other special needs.
Money for Science supplies is very limited this year due to our school district budget cuts so I hope to make sure my students can still enjoy learning from these motivating lessons by finding ways to purchase the needed reagents and refills.
My Project
I want to continue to offer my students chances to explore the water quality of our precious river resource, and the macroscopic critters that thrive in those waters. With the water quality supplies and reagents to quantify those investigations, your gifts will offer my students wonderful scientific testing on our annual field trip. The reagents will help restock my dwindling LaMotte kit supplies, and the macro lenses will allow my students to better identify the macro invertebrates they love to scoop out of the river.
In our desert environment, learning how to best protect our water resources means knowing how to check the water quality, and when my young students learn how important water is to their lives, they keep that knowledge for a lifetime.
Your help will allow my students the opportunities to learn, explore and test their world as well as how to appreciate and protect it.
