My Project
I have the most amazing students who want to do well and try so hard. So many of my students in 4th to 7th grade wear eyeglasses to see the board or sometimes for reading. So many students come to school with dirty glasses because they don't have time to clean them in the morning or they forget. It pains me to see this and I want to help them. I included a box of eyeglass cleaner wipes in an earlier Donors Choose project this year and left them in one of my classes for students to come get as needed. This was such an amazing concept to my students, and they were so appreciative to me and the donors who gave them the wipes but we have none left. I am asking for eight boxes so I can leave one box in each classroom I teach in to help as many of my students as possible. I really adore my students and want them to have everything that they need to help them do well in school and make it as easy as possible for them.
Leaving class during learning to wash glasses or go to the nurse for a band aid is a waste of learning time when I can have it in my classroom and help my students quickly and efficiently.
I am also asking for snacks for my resource students because they need constant breaks and can't learn when they are hungry. Having a small quick snack gives them the energy they need to come back to learning quickly and gives them the energy boost that they need. My students learn from 8:30 to 12:45 with no break so snacks are really important. Thank you for your support!
