My Students
My students are amazing! No matter what challenges they face at home or in their community they come to me full of eagerness and ready to learn. Each day is a new adventure full of surprises. The love they have for learning amazes me everyday. My students really work and take pride in their work. We have the mindset, now we need the resources.
My school is located in middle of Columbus and consists mainly of African American students.
I tell my kids all the time that it's never too early to reach for your goals. Although we are an elementary school, I strive for my students to be college and career ready. Watch us as we move from good great!
My Project
My students come to me on various levels, most of which are behind, so it is not always easy to give them the extra time and attention needed. An iPad will not serve as a replacement for one-on-one time with me, but it will allow students time to work on some of the skills needed. An iPad will help make learning fun and exciting while incorporating the use of technology in the classroom. These students are growing up in a world filled with cell phones and video games. What's a better way to make learning fun than to incorporate the things they already love in the classroom? With all the educational apps available, an iPad will definitely provide my students with the extra support they need in a fun way!
