Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are highly motivated eager learners. They come into class ready to learn. At the end of the day they can't believe it's over because learning has been so much fun that they don't realize it's even going on. The majority of our day is spent in differentiated centers and having fun!
The students in my class are eager beavers.
They are sponges waiting to soak up any new information that is given to them. I have more girls than boys but the boys keep me on my toes. I also have an interrelated class with 5 kids in special ed. and 6 kids in gifted. It is a very diverse group of kids with amazing qualities.
My Project
My students will be able to use the games during centers. Each game that was choosen is related to the common core standards. Some focus on math, while others focus on language arts, and reading. There are also several writing activities for the students to start working on during writing workshop. The students will learn how to solve math problems. They will learn how to search for nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Most importantly, they will learn how to work together to play games with and against each other.
The donations to this project will improve my classroom because it will help my students with their math and reading skills.
Also, the common core books will help provide new ideas for the students. Together the students and I will have lots of new opportunities to learn new things.
