My Project
I teach at a wonderful school in the San Fernando Valley where more than half of our student population is eligible for free or reduced lunch.
My students are the youngest in the school, and they benefit most from play-based learning.
I would love to be able to provide my students with a dollhouse, dolls that represent my students, and furniture to go in the house. Having these materials would enable me to provide them with so many engaging opportunities. With these items, my young students will be able to recreate realistic situations that will benefit them in their social emotional and content-based learning.
This dramatic play area will allow students to express their feelings through role play, practice sharing, conflict resolution, use story retell, problem solve, and more.
Play-based learning is crucial to the development of my early learners. Having these materials will ensure learning through play.
