My Project
The 4th Grade students are a shining example of resilience and positivity. These kids face more adversity than any other students in our district and bring so much light and positivity to the world. This group's ability to do so much with so little impresses me every day. You would never know the hardships they go through with the hope and love that they show to their classmates and friends.
These Hotshots are not only from diverse cultural backgrounds, they are also one of the most diverse groups of learners I have had the privilege of working with.
By donating to our project you will be giving these amazing individuals the opportunity at having individualized instruction. With so many students from so many different backgrounds and so many who have so much adversity at such a young age, these kids will benefit greatly from having their instruction tailored to their specific learning needs. The printer will give us the option to print out paper copies of assignments for students who may not have access to internet at home to use their iPads. It will give us the ability to print images, print in color at a larger scale for students who benefit from visuals and have information chunked for them to learn. The headphones will give us the ability to have students listen and follow along with their books if they need support reading. They will give students who need practice with speaking and listening the opportunity to work on their skills in class. These items may seem small and will make a huge impact on my students.
