My Project

Middle school science has some pretty abstract concepts that are hard to understand without being able to model or demonstrate the concept. Students learn better when they can make examples of physical and chemical changes instead of just reading about them. Students understand heat transfer and have a more memorable experience when they can experiment with it.

The items in this project will support and benefit several different labs for my 7th and 8th grade science students.

The hot plates will be used for several labs including a chemistry lab about the Law of Conservation of Mass, and a physics lab about the transference of heat.
