My students need a hot plate and 10 large balloons for physics experiments.
This project expired on April 29, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Do you remember how boring your physics class was? These items I have requested will allow my students to conduct exciting hands-on physics experiments.
My students fall under a high risk, low socioeconomic demographic.
Consequently, their opportunities for scientific learning are typically limited, due to funding concerns and/or individual experience limitations. These limitations have reduced their fundamental understanding of science concepts.
The current focus of the district is to implement more STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) focused lab activities. The hot plate and ten large balloons I have requested will allow my students to conduct labs that they would not typically be exposed to in the areas of convection currents and Newton's Third Law.
Many of my students will not have an opportunity to conduct exciting hands-on physics labs ever again, but with your help that can change.
Please help them to see the world in a more engaging and exciting way. Thank you.
