Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having specific art tools for specific art mediums greatly increases a positive learning experience for students. Having enough for a greater majority of class student numbers is especially beneficial where class periods only last 45 minutes. Students these days lack the attention span of students decades ago. Therefore having enough functional supplies on hand is crucial.

The student body that will greatly benefit from these fine art tools are 8th graders who will advance from High School Art 1 (credit) to the next level they choose in 9th grade.

The experience of printmaking with appropriate equipment will undoubtedly advance their knowledge/experience and afford future art teachers the ability to refresh/review previous experiences, saving time and allowing for more production.

The specific tools chosen in this project were done so that students can safely accomplish project expectations at any learning level. With every learning ability, these tools can be used by direct supervision and/or slightly less micromanagement. This is especially true given the size and quality of the actual print press. It is small with simple functions. They are easy to store and maintain for future use. This is highly beneficial in places where storage space tends to pose an issue.
