This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"I'm done! What can I do now?" In a room full of gifted learners, this is often blurted out. My students are high achieving students who love to be challenged.
My students are highly interested in computer based assignments.
Having access to the Internet is highly sought after in a room of 40 fifth graders. Our school is a CA Blue Ribbon school that strives for excellence. My students are highly motivated learners.
My Project
I am requesting Kindle Fires to enable more access to the Internet for research and practice using apps. My students will be able to google various research topics, as well as use math practice apps to reinforce the skills taught in class. The science and social studies curriculum will be enhanced with the capability of finding out more about class topics.
In this age of technology our students are very familiar with and motivated by it.
Using technology is a great motivator for students to gain information and be excited about finding it. Having the ability to take a tablet to their desk to work independently and in small groups will be highly beneficial.
