This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will not use the heat press machine because they are too young and for safety reasons. However, they will create extraordinary activities that will be transferred to shirts, and boards. Having a heat press machine will give the students the tools they need to create flyers, posters, business cards, play money, and t-shirts, which they can use when they build pretend companies as they learn the importance of financial literacy through pretend play.
The ability to print classroom money is another reason it would be a great classroom tool.
I could use pretend money to use as good behavior incentives while teaching them the importance of earning, saving, and spending money.
