Hot, Hot, Hot, Cold!

Help me give my students a refrigerator and microwave to keep our rewards cold or heat them up and to be used with various science lessons, learning activities, and first aid items.

My Project

Our classroom is bursting with little learners who love exploring and growing every single day. Throughout the school year, students are rewarded with various incentive items and class rewards. Many of these items need a refrigerator and freezer to keep them cool or a microwave to cook or heat them up.

We need a refrigerator in our classroom to keep our popsicles, sodas, and juices cool and a microwave to cook our popcorn or heat up other food items throughout the school day.

The students earn rewards and incentives through both academics and good behavior. Students earn Eagle Bucks and can use those "Eagle Bucks" to purchase or go towards the rewards and incentives. This is such a great opportunity to teach them Financial Literacy while they are in these formative years. They learn the importance of saving up their Eagle Bucks to earn bigger rewards and incentives.

Additionally, the refrigerator and microwave would be beneficial in their ability to store or heat up items for learning activities, science lessons, and first aid items that are used throughout the school day, such as ice packs for all of their bumps and bruises. Our classroom also only has cold water. We could use the microwave to heat up items for various literacy, math, and cooking lessons, along with science activities.
