Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a groups of kind-hearted students in a 3rd grade inclusive class. Many of my students come from Spanish speaking homes and their parents do not speak English.There is a language barrier from school to home, but they appreciate every opportunity to learn.

My students enter the classroom daily ready to learn, discover, and explore.

In my class we celebrate each others' differences. I teach my students that cultural background builds character and skill and enhances the learning experience.

My Project

Todays' curriculum bulldoze our students and they feel unsuccessful in class. My students have to overcome learning new concepts in Reading and Math in a language they barely understand. My students' English proficiency levels vary from beginners to intermediate speakers who need to improve their skills. I am asking for these interactive tools to create fun and comfortable centers for my students.

Centers are a major part of reaching students at their academic levels, it is important for my class to have centers that can be done independently and provide answer reinforcement.

The major components of these centers are pens and flash cards for students to use. The center allows students to work with a set of flashcards that will improve vocabulary, spelling, comprehension or basic math skills through reading and answering questions. The pens play cool phrases or fun sounds effects and glow green and red for answer reinforcement.

By donating to this project, you will not only help many students improve their academic understanding, you will ultimately help to increase independent learning skills.
