My Students

Our school is filled with incredible students who love to come to school every day! They are such happy individuals with so much empathy and curiosity! The staff at our school learns as much from the students as the students do from us about life and the world.

My students bring many different cultures from around the world into our classroom every day, creating a rich and deep learning learning environment.

It is an amazing environment to teach about diversity because it is so evident. I am truly indebted to my students for all they teach me about life and their culture.

My Project

These books will be used in the fifth grade classrooms at our school to kickoff student's last year of elementary school! We want to start the year off right away with an enthusiasm and high stamina for reading. We would use these books to launch the first unit and foster a love for reading. These books include a range of fiction, realistic fiction, novels, graphic novels and nonfiction selections.

Students could read these book in book clubs to increase comprehension through peer conversations or pair-clubs.

We are really excited to start this school year off and think these new books would really add loves of excitement to the beginning of the year.
