My Students

I teach special education for 4th and 5th grade students with learning differences. Our school is located in a rural, low income area in southern Virginia. My students have varied educational needs and all receive special education services at school. My student's receive most of their services in the general education classroom and need accommodations to access the general education curriculum. Almost all of my students are below grade level in reading and/or math. Thank you for support us on our educational journey.

My Project

This table will be used for small group instructions for math and reading. The current rectangle table I am using makes it hard for all the students working with me to see the words I’m holding up. We play a lot of math and word games, but this often requires a student moving or having someone else move their piece. Unfortunately, with my current table all the students can not participate at the same time in activities. I use a multi sensory instruction for reading. It is crucial that all they all are able to participate in the activities. Thank you for donating.
