Horseshoe Table for Instructional Mealtime for Students With Disabilities
Help me give my students with disabilities a place to learn and play. A horseshoe table will support their communication development, as it will be used for instructional meal time and small group instruction. Thanks for your consideration!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Instructional mealtime helps students with expressive communication delays develop the ability to make requests, discriminate between picture symbols, and follow a structured routine.
A horseshoe table would support our ability to engage students in instructional mealtime, as teachers can interact with all students readily.
Having appropriately sized furniture ensures safety and allows children to be comfortable, engaged, and successful during mealtimes. An appropriately sized horseshoe table will help students begin to be able to serve and feed themselves, pass food when appropriate, engage in social interactions, and limit distractions during mealtimes.
