My Project

I am requesting horror books for them to read during their independent reading class. It is true that initiating young people into the joys of reading is more challenging in the days of ubiquitous cellphones and omni present social media. However, there are still avenues by which we can make inroads to help students discover a love of reading. One such inroad is young people's love of horror.

I have found that having horror texts on hand can be very helpful in getting reluctant readers to give reading a try.

I believe that all young people would love reading if they had access to the right texts. The goal of this project is to help get the right texts into the hands of some very deserving students so that they can discover all the manifold joys and benefits of reading. Thank you!
