Remember being the child who couldn't afford school supplies? Or having to ask how to work the computer while students next to you just whizzed through everything like they had all the same technology at home?
My students are as varied in personality as they are in socio-economic status.
They are eager to learn and want to do their best in everything; however, this becomes difficult if they have not been exposed to today's technology. Their passion for learning should not be stunted because of this deficiency.
My Project
With an interactive whiteboard my students will be able to interact with today's technology and make them more competitive with students around the world. The lessons will provide a challenge to my higher students while motivating my lower students. The Apple TV allows for lessons to be shared from the iPad directly to the screen without my having to constantly stand and profess to my students from the front of the classroom. This mobility transfers to the students as well. They will be able to share their work while not interrupting or stopping the lesson to wait for students to move increasing our work time.
I would like to provide a space where the gap of ability and accessibility gets smaller for my students.
I want all of my students to have the ability to interact with technology so they may compete in an ever changing and evolving world.
