This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The majority of my students come from low income single parent homes. Unfortunately, many of the parents are uneducated and not able to help their children develop reading skills. On the first day of school, more than 90% of the students that entered my classroom were not reading at grade level.

My students are hard working and goal oriented, they just need materials that will help them to develop the skills they need in order to achieve their academic goals.

I believe that helping our library will impact the lives of students. The library is an integral part in our students lives. A lot of our students don't have access to their own books and I want to provide students with resources.

My Project

My students will use these headphones during times that would require using their Chromebooks. We need these because, of course, these pieces of technology make noise and can become very distracting. They use their Chromebooks in the library to work on coding. Learning to use technology in the world today is important, but it is crucial for all students to be able to concentrate without being distracted by noise. This will improve the environment of the library. It will also help the other students in the room that are not using technology at the time to be able to focus on the other important aspects of the school library.
