My students are a diverse group of kids living in Brooklyn, NY that strive to be the best. There are many languages spoken in my classroom, some just learning English for the very first time. My students are special to me because they all come from around the world and have so much to offer and share with myself the rest of the class. My school is a wonderful place where great things happen. Students are eager to be involved and become members of our school community.
My Project
Your donations will make a difference with my students' learning by giving them the chance to all have a spot at the carpet during meeting time. Each and every day we start our morning off by having a morning meeting. Students tell stories and memories they wish to share out with the class. We also take part in community building each and everyday by working on getting to know each other and respect ourselves and others. We like to sit as a group where all students can fit comfortably and feel like they are part of the class. This carpet will improve their lives by allowing them to feel like they are a part of the group, each student having their own space and giving students opportunity to be a small community by working closely together while at the meeting area.
