it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
If you could spend a day in our classroom you would not have the words to explain what you see. This is not an over-exaggeration or a bad thing, but it is simply difficult to put into words-it is something you would want to experience. Our classroom is full of bright and eager first graders. I am privileged to work with the most fabulous first grade bunch. They are extremely smart, extremely kind, and extremely diverse.
My students are my joy and I want them to know how proud they make me.

My Project
My students have worked so hard in first grade. They are little but their work ethic is big. We have 14 1st graders reading chapter books and a few learning multiplication. This is an amazing accomplishment considering their low income backgrounds. They always make me proud and I want to show them how proud I am of their work by gifting them a summer gift bag full of toys and supplies.
Many of my students will struggle during the summer so I want to make it a bit easier by providing them with small party favor toys and beach supplies so they can enjoy their summer.
My students will also continue to use their creativity by using the mini magnetic boards to draw and the paint sets to paint. Lastly, I want to use the picture frames to give them a class picture so they can remember the good times they had in first grade.
