Our classroom is full of 20 bright and eager first graders. Our students come from a high-need area in Forrest City, AR. I teach at a Title I school in Arkansas where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Although my students' families are amazing, many of our students come from single-parent, incarcerated, or foster care families. As a result of these hardships, my students struggle with having the appropriate behavior in the classroom.
