My Students

My students are amazing. They come from the South and West sides of Chicago, often traveling quite a distance to attend our selective-enrollment high school! My students are bright, tenacious, curious, and driven to succeed. We have a an "Academic Center" consisting of 7th & 8th graders, connected to our high school. These bright middle-schoolers are attempting to get a head start in their high school careers.

Our high schoolers are also incredible young people who never cease to amaze me.

Our students work tirelessly so they can get into highly selective colleges, often on full-ride scholarships based on their incredible dedication over their academic careers. While they are gifted academically, my students are also some of the kindest and most creative people I've ever met. Engineers, poets, artists, photographers, gamers, athletes...they are wonderful people to know and learn alongside with.

My Project

The club that I sponsor, the Lindblom Ambassadors, are a bright group of 9th through 12th grade students that are dedicated to making the school a better place. Each year, the Ambassadors identify school-wide issues and implement solutions to the problems at hand. This year, they realized that hygiene is an issue for quite a few middle-schoolers and special education students in the building. After noticing this, they sprang into action!

The Ambassadors decided to hold a hygiene fair, Hooray for Hygiene, to provide information and much needed hygiene products to students who otherwise would not have access to them.

We have reached out to our stakeholders for donations, but we are looking for any additional resources that we could use during our hygiene fair! These products will directly benefit our school's 7th and 8th grade students, as well as some of our special education students!
