My Students
I work with wonderful 10 and 11 year old students in a multi-cultural community at a Title I, 100% poverty school. My students come with different backgrounds and experiences, and many even speak multiple languages. My sweet kids are hard workers and are determined to help each other and their own families. These kids bring unique perspectives that help build our classroom community and enrich their relationships. My kids come from a poverty stricken area, but they make the most of their lives. These children truly deserve the best.
My Project
My students will use these headphones to engage in our online math learning programs in the classroom, in addition to possibly checking them out for virtual learning at home. At this time we are learning in person, but at the drop of a hat we can be sent home. Some students live in homes in which there are many, many distractions. These headphones will not only benefit my students within the classroom to keep them focused, but they will also help students who are surrounded by siblings who are doing virtual learning or other in-home distractions.
