Our students, from rural New Hampshire, are some of the most dedicated students I have worked with. Any day you walk in our classes, our students are working individually and cooperatively in many different spaces in our classrooms. Imagine what they could accomplish if they all had the tools that worked for them.
Curious, inspiring, creative and enthusiastic: my students are ready to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge they face.
They love to challenge themselves and think more deeply. All of them need to be able to access tools to help them be successful. Our students care deeply for each other and the world around them and they deserve all of the tools possible to be successful in school.
My Project
Our students need headphones to be able to hear instructions and concentrate on curriculum content on their Chromebooks without distracting other students or being distracted. These headphones will help them to focus on their on progress and work at their own pace. While students are working independently on their Chromebooks, Mrs. D (my teaching partner) and I can work with small groups of students on other skills and lessons.
Our students need headphones enhance their learning on our computer based programs.
Currently, all of our headphones are the oldest in our building and are in poor condition. We are fixing headphones on a daily basis for students. Our classrooms use several programs that read aloud, speak the questions or include curriculum content videos. Headphones help to reduce the noise level in the classrooms so all students can focus and concentrate.
