My Project
This project will support the launch of a 3rd–4th grade crochet club at our school. With the help of your generosity, I’ll be able to provide all materials needed so that no student is left out because of cost. Every student will receive their own crochet hook, yarn, and simple tools (like safety needles and stitch markers), as well as access to printed guides and pattern booklets.
Crocheting teaches more than just fiber arts.
It builds fine motor skills, fosters focus and resilience, encourages math and spatial reasoning, and — most of all — provides a powerful outlet for self-expression. Students will be proud to take home what they create, and our club will give them a quiet, focused space to relax and build friendships.
The Impact
This club will be open to all 3rd and 4th graders, regardless of prior experience. My goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming space, especially for those who may not see themselves as crafty or who need a calming, confidence-building experience. With your support, they won’t have to worry about buying or bringing anything. They’ll just bring themselves — and leave with new skills and a sense of pride.
