My Project
Our Engineering, Design, and Energy Academy is undertaking a project-based learning task to incorporate the skills from four different classes. We aim to create a Heritage Park to be built as a living testament to the Honouliuli Ahupuaʻa's rich history and culture. This project will involve students from various disciplines, including engineering, design, and environmental science. They will collaborate to design and construct a park incorporating elements of our local heritage, such as historical landmarks, cultural artifacts, and native plants. Through this hands-on experience, students will develop valuable skills in project management, graphic design, situational engineering, energy conservation strategies, environmental sustainment, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Beyond being a source of community pride, this Heritage Park will be a significant educational resource that provides multi-use facilities for both the students of Kapolei High School and the local community.
It will provide a space for students to delve into their local history, culture, and environment while contributing to our community's overall beautification and sustainability, making it a valuable asset for all.
