My Students

I have over 85 students with a wide variety of needs, and one of those needs is supplying my students with the right tools and materials to succeed. Having essential school supplies is necessary for my students to be successful.

Despite many challenges, my students are enthusiastic and eager to learn.

Our school is right next to the large city of Buffalo New York, which is the second-largest city in New York State. Our families often move in and out of the city frequently but enjoy our school for having a small school feel in the big city.

My Project

I run an after school program where students stay to complete homework and work on getting their grades up. The goal of my project is to supply students with healthy but tasty snacks while they stay after school. I surveyed my students and asked them what snack they want and they listed items like granola bars, chips, Rice Krispie treats, juices and water.

I want to fuel my students that are hungry to complete homework with healthy snack options.

It's always nice to be able to offer students a treat when they are putting in the extra work to get their grades up and understand the content!
