This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching a fantastic group of 7th-grade students in Stockton, CA. My students are fun and make coming to work every day an absolute joy!

Our school is a Title I school and serves a wide variety of students throughout Stockton.

We are a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) charter school that focuses on project-based learning. My students are inquisitive learners and I want to be able to give them as many resources as possible.

My Project

I am always looking for new ways to engage parents in student learning and I think the PowerMyLearning Family Playlist would be amazing for our school!

This program will transform the learning relationships between the student, their families, and myself as the teacher.

The PowerMyLearning Family Playlist acts as an extension of what was learned in the classroom. The students will complete an activity at home where they teach their parent the content. After completion, the teacher and parent can communicate about the students' understanding of the concepts that were covered. Together as a team, we can work for individual student success!
