My Students
My students are creative, clever, inquisitive, and eager to learn more and more daily. Many are struggling with basic learning skills, but they love the challenge and freedom to choose and explore engaging activities that help them become successful. I work in a Title I school where the majority of my students are African American and come from a low socioeconomic background. I am blessed to work with them all.
These students are all unique and special in their own ways, including the way they learn and focus.
Focusing has been challenging from home. Many distractions keep them from disengaging. Every student has mixed abilities and different needs. I am working to provide standard resources for my class so that we can all perform to the best of our abilities.
My Project
These requested resources will allow my students to have material at their fingertips during virtual learning. They will help them manipulate and practice with me as I model using them during online instruction. Students will be able to have tactile material in their hands so they can build words, write sentences, and build basic number sense.
My students deserve to have an at-home virtual experience equivalent to in-person learning.
Laminating sheets will help to keep worksheets from being over-reproduced and makes for easy cleanup while they are being used over and over again.
